What Problems will our Project Address?
Poverty & Unemployment
This is prevalent among the youth, who include vulnerable at risk youth living in slums (especially young mothers).
What would it be like to have to walk for miles to collect water? What would it be like if that water came from a dirty river? What would it be like to not have water at all? This is a typical scenario at Kamkomani.
Thousands of Kenyans can only afford one meal a day and are living below poverty level.
With the collaboration of Coastal Cathedral Church of God a youth center has been built that will give youths in KAMKOMANI & the surrounding community the opportunity to pursue their education potential by providing them with the tools necessary to achieve this goals and to impart entrepreneurial skills to vulnerable youth in the surrounding areas. After completion of the training the center will aid and assist the youths in finding employment or provide them with financing to start their own business. Sponsor a youth’s training – (6 month training program $120, or $20 a month for 6 month). You can also volunteer for a Mission trip- To train youth and help with construction of the Youth Center.$1,350.00 donated
